Social Media Day today

This morning I went into Boston for a great workshop on hosted by 451 Marketing at the Westin Hotel on Social Media. The speaker, AJ Gerritson was informative, clear and direct. I was late (camp drop-off and a mucky Mass Pike ride in) so I missed the pre-workshop networking but did talk to two women on the way out and we all thought that it was a worthwhile morning. I learned alot about strategy and sites that I had not yet discovered like 

It is a great tool - I plugged in young adult books and could see past interest and projected searches/interest in the search term. Very cool. 

Don't forget about Google Alerts and Google News. Google Alerts lets you put in key words and get emails containing articles with those key words sent to you via email. Google News is just a great news aggregator.

When I was finished with my write-up of the workshop (will write more from it at another time), I came across this great article from Steven Overly of The Washington Post
